This is the first upload of a double bill showcasing two of Scotland's finest noisemongers. Sedition found a niche in the punk scene for classic wall-of-sound-with-tunes hardcore spliced with a deep ecology / tribal / pagan / anarcho perspective. So in between each track you'll hear chants and noises not normally associated with the music that precedes and follows. The overall production's a little bit muddy but that's not really a problem for the style.
I can't say that I'm particularly fond of the primitivist / deep ecology mindset that's conjured up in some of the lyrics, but there's also a healthy dose of anger alongside that doesn't forget the modern world and its ills. Not that you can really make out the lyrics without the booklet, so you can just wallow in the bludgeoning this download will dish out to your ears and speakers.
You'll also get the chance to hear 'Ride On', a gentle folk ballad originally sung by Christy Moore, remade in a style that you wouldn't have thought possible.

Although I already have Sedition's work, this is a great post! The primitivism aspect never sat well with me either, but it was never so "out there" as to ruin the listening experience. Their material on the PTIS split is more "straight forward," but I like those tracks a lot too. Anyway, I'm curious to see what you'll post next (!)...

Actually the 'primitivism' struck a chord with me, as I had tried - and failed - to live a lifestyle as close to nature as I could get. It was hard, but also a lot of fun, mainly because it was with a bunch of other folk of a similar mindset. This was on the west coast of Ireland in 89 - 90. In common with lots of well intentioned schemes egos, and unfortunately drugs soon destroyed it, and I went off travelling in my van for a few months, before 'coming home' to the city. When ever I listen to this feckin' brilliant album, I get an almost overwhelming sense of 'what if...'

Got this on vinyl, but i hate the hassle of ripping records to mp3, so it's great to have this beast in digital format.
Saw them once at the 1-In-12 and I'd swear the vocalist was coughing blood afterwards due to his totally savage shrieking!
