hey, i live in the city too at the moment and i've been growing (cherry)tomatoes and chilles (lombardos and jalapenos) indoors over the summer, and right now im growing shiitakes and i will try growing champignons later... you can grow all kinds of stuff (even if not that much of it) indoors! i will write more about my shiitakes in my blog (http://reach-for-the-light.blogspot.com) later, even if i might be a bit lazy with updating sometimes. they're already 'bout 2 cm tall!

I'm so jealous of your garden. I live in the city centre so the thing I can grow is basil so I eat jars of vegan pesto - which in the end ain't bad at all !

Infusing watermelon might not be that 'creative' but it's a great way to stay refreshed on a hot summer's eve and get drunk at the same time!

I managed to grab a box of Scottish rasps at a bargain price from the cheapie shelf, and they seem to have found their way into another bottle of vodka. Mmm, raspberry vodka...

I've been thinking about whether the fruit could be used after I've strained it off. I'm guessing that there's some fruity booze still hiding in the berries, so I think I might pulp the mush, strain it again and have a go at making vodka jelly with it.

I definitely doubt it's my raspberry-flavored-store-bought-vodka talking, the stacked pots idea is brilliant & will be my new gardening adventure for sure.

Being able to have fruit at the ready while the chilly weather is upon us is very refreshing and can't wait to try my own version of fruity vodka.

Infusing watermelon like we've been doing is okay but not so creative.
