The Kate Sharpley Library exists to preserve and promote anarchist history. We preserve the output of the anarchist movement, mainly in the form of books, pamphlets, newspaper, leaflets and manuscripts but also badges, recordings, photographs etc. We also have the work of historians and other writers on the anarchist movement.
We promote the history of anarchism by publishing studies based on those materials - or reprints of original documents taken from our collection. These appear in our quarterly bulletin or regularly published pamphlets. We have also provided manuscripts to other anarchist publishers. People come and research in the library, or we can send out photocopies.
KSM40 is a three-headed Hardcore-Punk band located somewhere in a shitty suburb of Cologne. The Band was founded in spring 2005, because the three members Spike (git/vox), Thomas (drums/vox), Jonas (vox, bass) were fed up with their lame old bands. KSM40 is a D.I.Y. Punk band. We're doin' all our shit by ourselves and we're definitely not playin' music to make money or (even worse) to live out our narcistic dreams of standing on a stage being rockstars. We play Hardcore to express ourselves and to spread the ideas we carry in our hearts. These ideas are to fight every kind of discrimination or oppression such as fascism, rascism, homophobia, sexism or antisemitism. If you don't care much about those things or even sympathise with them, just go and fuck off!
Kebele Sound is a collective of on-it individuals with the shared aim of organising and supporting quality live music in a people friendly fashion. We non of us profit from our activities – all proceeds return to a collective gear and gig fund or, more usually, benefit anti-authoritarian groups and campaigns.
We have a PA (or two) and techs available to hire at £40 plus fuel for benefits. Drinks for the sound-tech are always welcome and other gigs will be considered on a case by case basis. Send us your proposals.
If you would like to help out or join the collective email us with a short description of where your interests lie, and any previous experience or skills (not essential) you may have. We will get back to you.
Katipo Books was established in 2006 as a way to bring more radical and alternative educational material into circulation within Otautahi and Aotearoa. We’re a small collective that aims to grow over time and expand the material we have available, through our online store and regular bookstalls at events such as speakers' evenings, book launches and other events (such as publishing our own literature). We also support and network with other small publishing and distribution groups such as Rebel Press and AK Press. Our main goal is to develop a sustainable workers' co-operative with accessible premises, through which we aim to facilitate educational workshops, screenprinting, stencil making, and self-publishing.
Want to get involved? Please get in touch or come along to a meeting! There’s always heaps to do (shop stuff, workshops, stalls, working bees) and you can do as much or as little as you are able.
