[Old Punk]

This messageboard has a very simple purpose - to act as a resource for people who like loud music and louder politics, particularly (but not exclusively) those who live in the South-West of the UK or who happen to be passing through it. Think of it as an online community-cum-infopoint-cum playground for people with sussed ideas, a sense of humour and a love of a good party.

For our purposes here, the south-west can be roughly summed up as consisting of the ancient kingdom of Wessex from Dorsetshire & Wiltshire westwards, the nearby Celtic bits down Land's End way and over the Severn Bridge, and adjoining cider-making hamlets up around Gloucester and Hereford.

If outside your front door looks like any of the above, the locals sound a bit funny, and you've got the rebel attitude, then this is definitely the place for you.

If you're from further afield, or don't like the music but connect with the RASP approach to life, you're also more than welcome here. Pass on info and ideas, plug your label/band/zine, share your favourite recipe or just pull up a stool and swallow a pint or three with like-minded folk.
